Background Design
The Bridge
Inspired by the Lightrail stops in Minneapolis, the Bridge in the film has a detailed ironwork. The ironwork is based on the structure of Forget-Me-Nots and Morning Glories.
Next was the structure of the lamp posts.
These are studies of different bridges around Minnesota. The goal was to understand how structure, design, and function interact.
These are the final sketches for the design planning of the bridge in the short film. It shows how the bridge is structured leading into the water, and how the ironworks connect to the rest of the bridge.
